Coalition for Environmentally Responsible Conventions

CERC lightened the environmental footprints of the 2004 national political conventions in Boston and New York. We cut and offset carbon emissions which cause climate change, decreased waste, encouraged public transportation and low emissions vehicles, and promoted environmentally preferable products and services.

Our Case Study, publications, website & collective experience can serve future green convention & tourism organizers & advocates, including host city competitors for the 2008 national political conventions.

In Massachusetts, CERC now promotes environmental best practices together with leaders of metro-Boston's tourism & convention industry.
