Serving food at convention events?
CERC can help you manage food waste...
Introduction
Thousands of parties and events will be thrown during the DNC
and RNC. Although this will certainly make Boston and New York
a fun place to be during the conventions, it will also generate
an extraordinary amount of food and other waste, as well as consume
large amounts of energy and resources. Party throwers can reduce
their environmental impact by purchasing sustainable food and
products, recycling and composting, and reducing their energy
needs.
The mission of CERC's Event Planning committee is to:
• Encourage the purchase of sustainable food and products
for Convention-related events.
• Help set up recycling and composting programs
for event waste.
• Aid event planners in reducing their energy and
resource consumption.
